5 Minutes with Fabricio Bittencourt
Where are you from?
I come from a beautiful city called Vila Velha, near to Rio De Janeiro in Brazil. It has many beautiful beaches, a lot of seafood, and it's a very lively city.
How did you become a model?
I became a model two years ago. My ex-girlfriend and my mum was pushing and encouraging me to try it out, but there were many preconceptions on modelling at that time in some parts of Brazil. I decided to give it a shot anyway, and went to an agency for an audition. They liked me and told me that I had to take better care of my body, skin and hair, because I was a bit lazy before.
What is your favourite modelling experience?
Modelling has given me the opportunity to travel, and my favourite experience was the time spent in New York. It was so nice and completely different. it was for a great job and I met some wonderful people there. It was amazing!
What is the one thing about you that most people don't know?
In Brazil, my mum and I would rescue dogs from the streets, and foster them until we could find a home for them. There were times when my mum couldn't bear to part with them, so now we have four dog, but there may be 10 in the future!
What is the best piece of advice someone has given you?
My father told me to always do what is right, no matter what other people think. If you want something, push through until the end and don't give up; never quit.
